Dedicated to make you walk away with a smile...

Covid-19 update - Sunday 3rd January

During the current tier system we are continuing to open to provide routine and emergency care.

If you have an appointment already booked we anticipate that it will go ahead as planned, although there may be some minor changes to the time. We will contact you before the appointment to ask you some questions about your current health and will send you emails with information about our COVID protocols.

You can be assured that we have rigorous procedures in place to make our practice safe for your visit.

High levels of cleanliness and cross infection control are part of our normal procedures but in response to the pandemic we have upgraded all of our protocols, are wearing enhanced PPE and have installed medical grade air purifiers in all surgeries.

We are continuing to allow extra time for all appointments, and have a controlled flow of patients through the practice so that there is minimal interaction.

In order for everyone to stay safe please do not come to the practice if you or anyone in your household/bubble have any symptoms of COVID-19, if you have been told to isolate by a Test & Trace caller or have received a notification from your app.

Some of our patients are shielding and/or still anxious about attending. We would like to reassure you that you are not alone and we understand. If you do not wish to attend but have concerns about your dental health please let us know and we can give you telephone advice.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2021

  • Brush twice a day for 2 minutes. Make sure you spit, rather than rinse. This will help strengthen the enamel.

  •  Clean between teeth daily to remove plaque from areas where the toothbrush can’t reach.

  • Eat a balanced diet. Limit snacking and keep off the toffees! Choose healthy options to limit tooth decay.

  • Drink juices through a straw and preferably keep to meal times.

  • Drink plenty of water and keep hydrated!

Welcome to our family run dental practice

Established in 1992 by husband and wife team Mark Milnthorpe, and Susan Steer, the White Cottage Dental Practice aims to provide high quality preventative dental care for the whole family. We were joined in 2014 by Ester Mulders who trained in Holland and has been a general dental practitioner in the UK for over 18 years.

We are passionate about teaching our patients how to maintain a healthy mouth, stressing the link with their general health and our Hygienist Heather Lonergan plays a vital role in this.

We are also pleased that Jasvinder Jugdev is available to place implants on-site to avoid the need for our patients to travel to another practice for treatment.

We have modern air conditioned surgeries with digital x-rays and intr-oral cameras. We also have a dedicated decontamination room which conforms to best practice guidelines.

We are committed  in our practice to providing our patients with the highest standard of care and want to make your visits a pleasant experience.

Regular visits will help you to keep your mouth healthy, free of pain and infection and can improve your appearance.
